The receiver module here is integrated into the control board, so a full keypad failure often means replacing the entire unit rather than a sub-component. The mounting footprint is 5.5 inches by 7 inches, which matters because older FM-series holes do not line up.
• MM-SK2000 smart keypad: Wi-Fi enabled, app-controlled. The weak point on these is the 24-volt transformer that steps down from household current; we see premature failure in Berkeley’s older hillside homes where voltage fluctuates more than the flatlands.

DIY or Call Us?

There is safe checking, and there is unsafe checking. You can verify that the keypad has power by looking for the LED backlight, and you can confirm whether the gate responds to the remote (which tells you the motor and its safety edges are functional). What you should not do is open the control housing while the 120-volt supply is live, or attempt to splice low-voltage wiring without verifying which conductor is carrying household current.
